Pick, a free-to-air channel operated by Sky but without Sky branding (similar to sister channel Challenge), is to be rebranded to Sky Mix. Existing programming will be maintained, however additional content from across Sky’s portfolio will be added.
As part of the change, Sky Mix (not to be confused will similarly title Sky Max) will take over channel number 11 on Freeview, currently occupied by Sky Arts. Incidentally, Pick vacated channel number 11 in 2020 to allow Sky Arts to launch. Sky Arts will move to channel number 36.
Sky Mix is scheduled to launch on 18th October (2023), and will be standard definition only from launched. The channel is expected to be available on all platforms broadcasting Pick at present, including Sky, Freesat, Virgin Media (cable), and Freeview.
