Freeview Updates

A number of updates to the Freeview terrestrial line up have taken place recently.

Wild Earth is a new channel which has launched on channel number 91. The channel specialises in live broadcasts of African wildlife. The channel is broadcast via the COM4 multiplex, meaning it is not available to viewers who receive their signal from a relay transmitter.

A number of channels have been renumbered, largely to fill gaps in the numbering system. Most are streaming services available on compatible interment connected receivers only, however some other channels have also moved. Channel 5+1 has moved from 46 to 38, sister channel 5 Select has moved from 56 to 46, Together TV +1 from 92 to 90, and BBC Three HD (where available) in now on 107 instead of 109.

Together TV is now largely a streamed service on internet connected devices, only broadcasting terrestrially between 5am to 7am (7am to 8am for the +1 time shift version).

QVC Style and QVC Beauty have merged (on Freeview only) to from QVC2 on channel number 37, vacating the channel 38 slot to allow Channel 5+1 to move (as mentioned above).

In order to full update devices, some viewers may need to retune. Series recordings may also need to be reset on some devices.
