This category includes online based streaming services such as TV Player and Pluto TV, along with connected TV platforms such as BT TV and TalkTalk TV, which combine terrestrial channel line ups with additional channels delivered via broadband.
Following UKTV removing its channels from online platform TVplayer, the company has introduced live streams of its Freeview channels to its UKTV Play website.

Around 2 years ago NBC News became a share holder of the 24hour cross Europe new channel Euronews. At the time it was revealed that the channel would become EuronewsNBC, but this is yet to happen.
There have been changes. An overhaul has led to different language feeds being introduced. There was also an introduction of more presenter led programmes. A German news report by Infodigital suggests that brand perception has now improved without the need to add NBC to the name.
In the UK and Republic of Ireland, Euronews can be found on channel 508 (SD only), and is also on Virgin Media (channel 620 in the UK, 203 in Ireland). An online stream can be found at www.euronews.com/live.
BBC Studios and Discovery have announced details of how UKTV will split.
BBC Studios will take over Alibi, Dave, Drama, Eden, Gold, Yesterday and W. Discovery will take over Good Food, Home, and Really.
BBC Studios will take over the UKTV Play on-demand catch up service. A 10 year deal will see the BBC content launch on Discovery’s new global subscription on-demand video service, excluding the UK, Ireland, and China.
The split has been rumoured for some time, following Discovery inheriting the UKTV share that was owned by Scripps Networks.
Online streaming platform TV Player has suffered a major network outage, affecting most of the channels in their free package. At the time of writing, these channels are still offline.
TV Player is a available via its website, as well as apps across several devices. Free and paid for services are available, and a sign in/log in is mandatory.
The service has recently faced criticism for moving most ITV channels to premium package, despite these services remaining free to air on platforms such as Freeview and Freesat.
